On Saturday, Dec. 22nd, the raffle ticket was drawn by State Representative Mark Keller at Northwoods Auto Group in New Bloomfield.  Representative Keller drew ticket No. 1472 purchased by Home Instead Senior Care, Chris Barr President.  Channel 21 filmed the drawing and aired the story.  Mrs. Frye recalled selling Mr. Barr 10 tickets at the Marysville Veterans Day Parade.

Unfortunately, Representative Keller could not reach the winner by phone immediately after the drawing.  Mr. & Mrs. Frye finally notified Mr. Barr at 3pm.  Mr. Barr he was very surprised.  The two reminisced about the Veterans Parade and the purchase of the tickets.  Mr. Barr then asked Mrs. Frye if she remembered what he had promised her.  She did.  Mr. Barr promised to give her the car back so she could raffle it off again for more proceeds for the fund.  Mrs. Frye was very thankful for the gesture but insisted he accept the car for his family to use.  She told him that she wants Jason to be able to smile down on that car and the winner.  Mr. Barr and his two daughters, Kristi and Katie, were very appreciative.

Mr. & Mrs. Frye, the Lewis B. Puller, Jr. Marine Corps League and Northwoods Auto Group would like to thank EVERYONE who purchased tickets, sold tickets, and provided other necessities for the raffle.  The proceeds will go to the building fund for the Jason Frye Memorial Center.

Special thanks goes out to the ticket stops – The Bank of Landisburg, Perry Lanes, the Shermans Dale Subway and Shermans Dale Beer & Beverage
